Dr Henry Song is our principal General Dentist. He completed his degree in dentistry in 1992 and achieved his Bachelor of Dental Surgery recognition through the Australian Dental Council in Sydney Dental Hospital.
Dr Song has been working as an Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon in China for many years before he moved to Australia. He then also worked for Adelaide Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon Davor Hriba to treat some of the patients referred from other dentists. He retrained at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne during 2006-2007.
After working in the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital health district, he moved back to Adelaide. Dr Song also worked in private clinics around Adelaide for 7 years before he established Campbelltown Dental Health surgery and now Norwood Dental & Implant Centre Surgery.
Dr Song has devoted himself into performing pain free treatments.
He researched nerve regeneration and pain mechanism in neuroscience to help better understand pain control. He worked as PBL tutor for Flinder Medical Students. He was awarded a doctor degree (PhD) in neuroscience from Flinders Medical School in 2004. He has published his research in leading UK and US academic journals such as: Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (1995, 1997, 1998), Journal of Neuroscience (2004), Journal of Neurochemistry (2006), Gastroenterology (2009) etc.
